Regardless of what your opinion of is when it comes to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is, whether it is no your thing, you love it, you hate it or you lose sleep, call out of work/school; none of this matters because Treyarch is bringing the DLC content that gamers have been asking for, and what gamers, fans alike deserve for their continued support in the franchise along with newbies too. For the first time ever Call of Duty fans are getting a DLC weapon which is what has been suggested by the community for a very long time now as I remember being on the forums agreeing with other fans years ago that this would be great and now it is happening. The weapon is called the Peacekeeper and it is a cross between an SMG and an Assault Rifle. I am actually going to admit that fans may just be getting what their money is worth now as the DLC weapon coming to the Call of Duty franchise for the first time ever is far from the only thing you will get in the ‘Revolution’ map pack. Check out the preview below to see yet another mode along with 5 more maps for the game.

You are going to get the first snow map in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 multiplayer based in the french alps in a ski resort with gondolas running that will flatten you if you are not paying attention to where you are, on the map ‘Downhill’. This is just the beginning of interactive environments when it comes to the new Revolution Map Pack. On ‘Hydro’ may look like a more traditional COD map, at least in an updated Black Ops 2 sense, however the middle of the map provides an excellent way to navigate the map, the only thing is that this is a major spillway that floods every so often which yet again is a deadly interactive map where swimming is not an option here. This will make for some new types of strategy. To change things up even more yet again, we have ‘Grind’ which is an entire skate park, which means half pipes, full pipes, quarter pipes, ramps which means that you are going to have a very difficult time finding secure cover as all the curvature will mean you will be getting shot on awkward parts of you body; your arm, your foot not to mention your shadows will be easier to see while it is clear that this map is meant to run out there and get you hands dirty. No camping, score streaks, open warfare with little strategy. ‘Mirage’ is an abandoned luxury resort based in the sandy dunes of the Gobi Desert in China… sandy.

Next up we have the new Zombie map ‘Die Rise’ which is eerily striking to another zombie maps name, but I know that there are people out there that are going to be getting this whole map pack, just for zombies and no other reason. On this new Zombie map you are again getting something never been done before in the COD franchise from Treyarch, which is the fact that is is a vertical map set in the far east in some fucked up Skyscrapers. There are different levels to the map which will map the way Zombie hordes attack very interesting along with the fact that there are areas of the map with will have you so turned around, you will not know which way it up. Lastly to top it off is a new Zombie Mode called ‘Turned’ where you play as the zombies, which is exactly what I always wanted to know… what is going through a zombies mind. The answer is of course team up with the rest of your zombie buddies to overwhelm the one lonely human on the map, eat his face off so you can them become the human yourself… now your really screwed. The ‘Revolution’ Map pack will be available on January 29th, exclusively releasing on Xbox 360 first before any other platform; available as a stand alone piece or to season pass holders at the same time.
