Assassins Creed: Origins is Ubisofts next big installment to the famed Assassins Creed franchise. This is an action-adventure game set in Ancient Egypt. Fans are saying that this game reinvents the Assassins Creed series and brings players back to where they want the series to be.
Assassins Creed Origins takes place in the Ptolemaic period. The games focus is to reimagine history in a fictional environment. The Brotherhood of Assassins fights against the Templar Order in a battle that’s lasted centuries.
This third-person adventure game stays true to the Assassins Creed franchise. Players are placed in a massive, beautiful open-world where they complete quests and missions to progress the main plotline. Along the way players earn experience points and master new skills. The parkour fundamentals are present through a rich environment and cast of new and interesting characters.

As with the best Assassins Creed games, this title follows an interesting and gripping plotline. In Origins, players assume the role of an assassin named, Bayek. He is a Medjay whose job is to protect the people during a time of need. The Pharaoh tussles to rule while biting off more than he can chew. Pharaoh, Ptolemy XIII tries expanding his kingdom but his ambitions are a stretch with his current struggles. Troubles get worse when Ptolemy’s sister, Cleopatra, gathers a group to revolt against his anguish. The Roman Republic also join the fight under Julius Caesar’s rule. Bayek’s position forces the influences of events which pushes him into becoming the first Assassin.
There are 7 different versions of this game so understanding what you are getting into proves to be somewhat difficult. The editions are as followed: Standard Editions ($59.99), Deluxe Edition ($69.99), Gold Edition ($79.99), Gold Steelbook Edition ($109.99), God’s Edition ($119.99), Dawn Collector ($159.99) and Legendary Collector ($799.99). Also, those who preorder and edition get Secrets of the Pyramids bonus mission.
Most details on edition include previous items / in-game content unless stated otherwise. The Standard Edition comes with just the game. The Deluxe Edition adds “The Ambush at Sea” mission, 3 bonus ability points and the Desert Cobra pack. Next, the Gold Edition includes the games Season Pass. And the Gold Steelbook tacks on a collectors steel case for the game disc.
Then we turn our attention to the pricier models. The God’s Edition includes a game map, soundtrack, art book, collectible box and a 10.2-inch Bayek figure. The God Edition does not include the Season Pass or Steelbook from the Gold Steelbook Edition.
Also, The Dawn Collector’s Edition includes all previous rewards. Also, this edition adds Art Cards, upgrades the Bayek figure to 14.5 inches and adds Bayeks Eagle amulet to the pack.
Finally, The Legendary Collectors pack includes all previous rewards with an upgraded Bayek figure to 28.7 inches and a premium Bayek’s Eagle amulet. On top of that players get another Steelbook, 4 Lithograph art cards and a certificate.
