E3 2013: Three Unlikely Challengers Join the Smash Bros Universe!

Smash Bros Universe

So Nintendo announced Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS at this year’s E3 and unveiled two surprising new challengers (3 according to recent updates), and one of those challengers is non other than Megaman! Many fans hoped at some point Megaman would be included in the Smash Bros. Series and the wait, hype, despair, or whatever you want to call it is finally over! Megaman fans rejoice, you will now be able to see your favorite blue cannon-wielding hero pummel the likes of Mario and friends. The blue hero boasts a variety of moves à la classic Megaman, where his special moves consist of many powers obtained from defeating bosses from the series. Regardless if you are not very familiar with Megaman or are a big fan, this is one character that will surely bring lots of fun into play.

Also featured as a new challenger is the protagonist of Animal Crossing, or simply known as “Villager” in the game. This character was probably less expected than Megaman to join the battle, but an excellent addition to the game, considering the many Animal Crossing fans who would love to use Villager, including yours truly. With that said, I guess the wait, hype, and despair will now be prolonged for a few more months after all, since Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS is scheduled for release sometime in 2014. For now, all we can do is watch and re-watch the trailer for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS and just wonder what other awesome characters will be added to the roster. More info as it rolls in.
