Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon Release Date, Trailer and Screens

Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon

Far Cry 3 is getting a weird quirky spin off which oddly enough is set in the future, 2007… errr wait a min. Yep, this is how bizarre and ridiculous the title is and with a May 1st release date, I can’t wait. The game will feature the beloved 80′s sci-fi actor Micheal Biehn who is making a comeback via the gaming industry seeing that he was also cast in Aliens: Colonial Marines this year. Don’t worry this stand alone version of Far Cry 3 looks resurrect the actor rather than tarnish his career.

The game features lasers, a cyborg army, the famous Rook Island of Far Cry 3 and heavy metal. While gamers will be pleased to know they don’t need Far Cry 3 to play this retro fitted game. Others may be put off by the bizarre spin-off as our very own Heather Spears was, you can read why here.

The title was originally thought to be an April’s fools joke, however it looks like the joke is on us. The viral Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon website which emerged around April 1st can be seen here. And yes if you do the Konami Code ( ↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A ) on the website it will commence a self destruct sequence!

Don’t forget to check out the screens and trailer for Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon in all their neon colored glory. The game will be hitting Xbox 360 and PS3 on May 1st.

A leak has been reported to take advantage of the Uplay service on the PC. It allows hackers to trick the service into downloading all of the titles from Ubisoft. This is how the leaked footage below got out and shows 30 mins. of gameplay footage. Please note that this is unofficial and may be taken down by Ubisoft at any minute. Be warned by hacking the service you might be liable for stealing Ubisoft material and could be held in court! To read more about the uplay exploit Kasey has the scoop.
