One of the main draws of the next-gen Nintenodo console was Miiverse, Nintendo’s answer to a social network found only on the Wii U. Now the Wii U exclusive will be hitting new platforms such as the 3DS, Smartphones and PC. Nintendo’s social network will be available for the new platforms this spring with the producer of Miiverse Kiyoshi Mizuki saying “We are targeting an April or May release.” during a conference at GDC 2013.
However, not all of the features on the Wii U’s Miiverse will make it onto the new platforms. And fans looking for a forum for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for 3DS will be out of luck since older titles will not be able to use the outlet. In order to use your Miiverse account you will need a Mii linked to a Nintendo Network ID. This will allow you to interact with various gamers across the globe as you draw images, and engage in gaming discussions.
