The NES Cult Classic DuckTales gets Remastered!

DuckTales

WayForward and Capcom announced earlier today at PAX East they intend to bring a popular classic NES title into the limelight, DuckTales. WayForward you might remember delivered some amazing titles last year. Which included the popular 3DS title Adventure Time: Hey Ice King Why’d you steal our Garbage and the arcade download Double Dragon: Neon.

The popular NES title DuckTales inspired by the original Disney 80′s cartoon of the same name will be storming the beaches of your favorite console this summer. DuckTales: Remastered will feature enhanced graphics with the old same gameplay NES fans know and love. Look for DuckTales: Remastered when it hits the digital marketplace for Wii U, Xbox 360, and the PlayStation 3 during the summer. Until then check out the trailer below and brush up your best Scrooge McDuck impersonation.

Originally developed in 1989 the game helped Capcom become recognized as a successful developer. Key figures like the famed Keiji Infaune who is also the creator of the Mega Man franchise would lend a hand in the original development of the title. Just don’t expect to see  “INFAKING” in the credits as he is no longer with Capcom after departing in 2010.
