In Nintendo’s most recent press release it has been announced that several Nintendo fan favorite franchises are headed to the Wii U. Games mentioned in the release include:
The Legend of Zelda: Eiji Aonuma, producer of The Legend of Zelda series, has stated that two new Zelda games will be releasing on the Wii U. One is confirmed to be The Wind Waker 2. There are currently no details about the other.
Super Mario: The team that created the Super Mario Galaxy games for Wii and Super Mario 3D Land for Nintendo 3DS are working on a new 3D Mario adventure based game. It is set to be playable at this years E3.
Mario Kart: Nintendo is currently working on the latest installment of Mario Kart. It will possibly be titled Mario Kart U: Buckle Up. It is also schedule to be playable at this year’s E3.
Yarn Yoshi: The team that created Kirby’s Epic Yarn is now working on a yarn style Yoshi game. This will be Yoshi’s first game as the main character since Nintendo 64’s Yoshi’s Story in 1998. Director of Yoshi’s Island and Yoshi’s Story, Takashi Tezuka, is supervising the development of the new game.
