Wii U Pro Controller Battery Life and Backward-Compatibility Info

WiiUProController

Rumor has it that the Wii U Pro Controller should last way longer than the average gaming session. Retail sites have estimated that the Wii U Pro Controller should last players around 80 hours. The 80 hour mark is about three times longer than current-gen standards. However this figure probably provided by Nintendo so the actual truth revolving around the rumor may not be all that truthful.

The Wii U Pro Controller resembles that of an Xbox 360 controller. It is definitely for the gamers, which is something that the Nintendo Wii seemed to turn its back on. With that being said some bad news comes about backwards compatibility. The Wii U Pro Controller will not be supported on Wii games. Any game that was released that used the Wii Classic Controller will still use that controller and will not be replaced with the new Wii U Pro Controller. Unfortunately the Wii U Pro Controller will be sitting it out when it comes to games that used the classic. Gamers don’t get rid of your Wii remotes yet; it will be needed.
