As to follow the previous censorship of Call of Duty Black Ops in Japan, Black Ops II will be no different. While the rest of the world embarks on a bloody and violent journey through the next installment of Call of Duty Black Ops, fans in Japan will have to play an edited version of the game.
This seems like a trend with Call of Duty games and Japan. Most Call of Duty games do get tagged with too much in-game violence and will end up being edited in some way shape or form.
The plus side for all the COD fans in Japan is that it is said that although it will have a censorship on the game, Zombies mode will go untouched. I guess brutally murdering zombies isn’t the same as decapitating other human beings!
So, unfortunately Japan will have to play the game edited while the rest of the world takes on the blood and violence just how it was meant to be.
