The once loved development team of the Nintendo 64 classic, Banjo Tooie, is now working to possibly make a game similar to their old classic. Ex-rare workers are ready to branch off and make their own “spiritual successor” to the Nintendo 64 classic.
A newly created twitter account run by the team stated, “We’re not talking about making Banjo. We want to make something new but (hopefully) with that same magic.” This statement makes us feel that they are really considering slipping back into that classic feel that has been left out of modern gaming.
It is unclear on which exact ex-rare developers are involved however it is known that the series former composer, Grant Kirkhope and artist, Steven Hurst, will both be working on this next new project.
Wouldn’t it be exciting to see a game come out like Nintendo 64 classic titles? I don’t know about you but this would be wonderful news for any gamers craving a classic gaming feel. Hopefully more information about this development team will arise soon!

Do you mean the spritual successor of Banjo Tooie will be a different title with the same kind of humour, silly characters, fun gameplay, magic and great tunes as in the Banjo-Kazooie series?
