Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 Back in Development?

Brothers in Arms Furious 4

Gearbox had announced a goofy looking title at E3 2011 in the Brothers in Arms series called Brothers in Arms: Furious 4. Fans reaction was mixed at the appearance of the title back then and almost directly after the announcement there was nothing about the game to be seen anywhere. It just seemed to be such a silly looking game compared to what the series had previously brought to the table. It wasn’t what they wanted for the series so it’s not what they were going to give it.

Over the PAX Prime weekend we have learned that Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 has been split off from BiA completely giving Gearbox free roam of creativity so the game could be a goofy as they originally wanted to make it. This will no longer be a Brothers in Arms game and will be re-reveled with a new title but what was made of Furious 4 is now being picked up again. Great news to any fan that enjoyed the look of the Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 trailer when it aired at E3 2011.

Having this game back in development without limitation to creativitly can turn out really well. We can expect to learn more about the title on September 15th when Gearbox hosts its annual Community Day. This is not a title that ever looked like anyone was holding anything back with but we now know that it won’t be a title that anything will need to be held back with. We look forward to learning more about the resent pick-up of Brothers in Arms: Furious 4!
