At this year San Diego Comic-Con, a new game been announced that will star the Marvel character first seen in the X-Men Comics, Deadpool. Now Deadpool was or is a popular mutant in the underground hardcore comic book lovers world, but was never made into a huge sensation like many other super heroes. He had a role in the Wolverine film, but he has played many roles in the comic world and now he is getting his very own game which he will be the star of. In the teaser trailer below you can see Deadpool, or rather The Merc with the Mouth portrayed as many have not seen before… which ‘kick-ass comedy’. I’d say that is a good genre for the game, from how the trailer looks anyway which makes it seem like it will be one hell of a game, especially with the serious dramatic persona usually portrayed in action games thrown out the window.
The game is being developed by High Moon Studios, the same developer on Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, so I am going to go out on a limb here and say that we can all aspect something special from the game that as far as we know is just called Deadpool. Other than the trailer, is really nothing else to go on other that, most of us can look forward to its release sometime in 2013 and I would be surprised if it didn’t hit shelves for consoles right around the Holidays.
