From the Modern Warfare 3 DLC Content Calendar, we knew that DLC was coming for Call of Duty ELITE Members this month but we did not know when or what it would be. For Call of Duty ELITE Members on the Xbox 360, you will receive 4 exclusive DLC drops on Tuesday, July 17, including three Multiplayer maps and a Special Ops mission. You will get the multiplayer map Decommissioned (Surrounded by abandoned ocean liners) and Offshore (an oil rig on the ocean). In the Special Ops mission Vertigo, you’ll be at the Oasis Hotel where you will use laser-guided RPG’s to dispatch waves of helicopters. Then take advantage of a rooftop to take out waves of enemies, before parachuting to a ground-level. Sounds cool.
Here is even cooler news; the fan-favorite map Terminal, from Modern Warfare 2, will be free as ELITE Premium Members on Xbox 360, will get the Russian Airport map, from the campaign on Tuesday, July 17 with the rest of the ELITE drops. Non-ELITE Premium members on the Xbox 360 will get Terminal a day later on Wednesday, July 18th for free!
Playstation 3 ELITE Premium members will also receive content this month, with three Face Off maps and a Special Ops mission on Thursday, July 19. They will get Vortex, U-Turn and the Special Ops Mission Arctic Recon, all previously released on the Xbox 360. As far as Terminal arriving on the Playstation 3 at some point… who knows? However I would assume it would.
