The latest DLC for Mass Effect 3 is on its way set to be an all out multiplayer expansion entitled ‘Earth’. After the just recently released, free ‘Extended Cut’ campaign add on that elaborates on the end of the game more, Bioware has the ‘Earth’ Multiplayer DLC set to be released on July 17th. So what exactly do you get in the latest installment of DLC for Mass Effect 3? Well Bioware has been busy as you’ll get a ton of new features and it is once again all for free… you can’t beat that. Included in Mass Effect 3: Earth is an additional difficulty for multiplayer that is harder then any of the three already in the game called Platinum. Along with that is three new maps including Rio, Vancouver, and London. Earth also adds 12 new mods, 11 new gear ugrades, 3 new weapons and 6 new human N7 classes.
While you can play any of the 3 new maps right away, you will be able to get the following weapons as well as classes out of the packs that are purchasable by in game credits or Microsoft Points at random;
- Piranha Assault Shotgun
- Acolyte Pistol
- Typhoon Assault Rifle
- Destroyer Soldier
- Paladin Sentinel
- Demolisher Engineer
- Slayer Vanguard
- Shadow Infiltrator
- Fury Adept
All six classes are human along with each one of them all come with their new unique abilities and melee attacks. In addition to all this every 3rd, 6th or 10th wave, you may randomly have a new objective to keep a targeted agent alive by protecting and escorting them to a designated extraction zone on the map. Once again the Mass Effect 3: Earth DLC will be available to download for free on July 17th, for Xbox 360 and PC worldwide. PlayStation 3 will get it on July 17th in North American and July 18th in the UK.
