In the recently announced Gears of War 3 DLC entitled ‘Forces of Nature’, the content will contain five maps. Three of these maps are depicted either while or after a natural disaster is taking place. These maps are ‘Cove’, ‘Aftermath’ and ‘Artillery’. The other two are remakes of older maps from the previous games which are ‘Jacinto’ (Gears of War 2) and mine, as well as many others favorite all out shotty map ‘Raven Down’ (Gears of War 1). There will be all sorts of natural weapons from mother nature on certain maps like fog, snowstorms and tsunamis which will make playing on them a challenge in itself. Below are flythrough video showing off the maps ‘Jacinto’ and ‘Artillery’. Check out the new Achievements for the DLC making Gears of War 3 the first game to hit the 2000 Gamerscore mark.

The five maps are not the only addition to the DLC with it also including special weapons called ‘Elemental Cleavers’ hidden in the maps during Horde and Beast mode. These new cleavers do different types of damage from elements found on the planet Serra, like the imulsion cleaver that explodes on impact. Fans of the game will be happy to know that ‘Forces of Nature’ will have four characters included in the DLC, which include the last three pre-order characters being Commando Dom (Gamestop), Mechanic Baird (Best Buy), Savage Grenadier (Walmart) and an additional Locust seen in the campaign.
It doesn’t end there as there will also be seven new weapon skins. Two of the weapon skins have been designed based on feedback from the community and those will need to be unlocked. The ‘Forces of Nature’ DLC Pack will add 250 gamerscore in Achievements making Gears of War 3 the first Xbox 360 game to EVER have 2000 gamerscore. In addition the mode ‘Guardian’ will make a return. ‘Forces of Nature’ will be part of the Season Pass, otherwise costing you 800 Microsoft Points and will be available on March 27th, 2012. This is surely one hell of a DLC pack, but there is no proof that this is where the DLC will end for Gears of War 3.
